American patent for Ergotrics' Morphemat
Ergotrics has acquired a U.S. patent from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) again.
Turnhout-based Ergotrics, a company that stands for innovating and improving patient care, has again received a U.S. patent from the WIPO. This is an enhancement of the European design patent previously confirmed for their newest product Morphemat.
“The success is due to a good cooperation with the renowned patent office EP&C, which also has a branch in Turnhout. We are proud of this recognition which represents a significant milestone in our pursuit of a strong patent portfolio in safe patient positioning,” stated Inge Bruynooghe, CEO of Ergotrics.
Ergotrics has already marketed several positioning cushions that tilt and lift patients in a quick, easy, ergonomic, hygienic and safe way. What makes Morphemat unique is its use of compressed air instead of manual labor, which represents an ergonomic breakthrough for the care of bedridden patients.
This is Ergotrics’ third patent with which the company has acquired exclusive rights for their technological innovations.
