Inge Bruynooghe, CEO Ergotrics: “The eco-system of startups and scale-up companies of the Open Manufacturing Campus on the Philips site has inspired me to take a career step outside the multinationals. The knowledge and network of Paul Depauw, a renowned neurosurgeon at the Neurosurgical Science Center in Tilburg, complements my knowledge and experience in the business world. His invention is scientifically and yet simple. The product concepts are extensively tested and patented. My first task now is to attract the right funding, prepare the market introduction and further professionalize the company.
Inge Bruynooghe invested and took charge from 1 November 2018 onwards. In the new organization, Paul Depauw became Chief Medical Officer, responsible for product development and setting out the innovation strategy, and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Ergotrics is specialized in positioning and moving patients with compressed air in healthcare. Ergotrics designs and manufactures inflatable positioning cushions that allow patients to be tilted and lifted quickly, easily, ergonomically, hygienically and safely.
