Head Prone Support

Fast, simple, ergonomic and safe!

Head Prone Support

Perfect prone positioning in the operating room and intensive care unit requires special attention to the patient’s head and neck. Ergotrics distributes head supports for prone positioning, specially designed by Nordiska and Care Surgical. The solutions below are available through Ergotrics in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Prone Face One

The smart 1-step solution to support the patient’s face in the prone position. Ideal when the patient does not need to be lifted as high. The Prone Face One cushion is attached to a mirror to monitor the patient’s eyes and intubation tubing. Single use promotes infection control.

Prone Head Plus System

Premium solution is the Prone Head Plus System. The ergonomic design of the ABS helmet reduces pressure on the eyes and face and includes a mirror for an optimal view of eyes and intubation tubing for the anesthesiologist. The four screws allow the height of the head to be adjusted for a neutral position of the cervical spine. The Prone Head Plus System consists of a helmet and mirror, and is always to be used in conjunction with the Prone Face Plus cushions.

Prone Face Plus Cushion

Used in conjunction with the Prone Head Plus system. The CS Prone Face single-use cushion evenly distributes pressure to the forehead and cheekbones, reducing pressure-related injuries.

What our clients say about us

“We can now easily reposition the patient alone. Before we needed two, sometimes three nurses.  The advantage of the Morphemat for the patient? Its back is supported from neck to legs and not at two points.  See our video testimonial”

“With the Ergotrics inflatable prone positioning system you can work much faster, more hygienically and healthier for the staff, both when the patient is transferred to the prone position and during the positioning itself.”

Prof Robert Pflugmacher,

“The ergonomic advantages of inflatable positioning devices are clear. Furthermore we think that the optimal positioning also will result in less intra-abdominal pressure and therefore less venous pressure, better operating conditions and possibly less intraoperative blood loss. We will investigate this further.”
